My Teaching Philosophy

Why do I do what I do as a teacher? I enjoy teaching. Period.

In return, I thoroughly believe learning should be an enjoyable experience also. I do not believe insetting limitations on a creative being. There are no boundaries. Art and Technology is my passion.  I think out of the box and try to encourage my students to do the same. Stretch the limits of the imagination.   The computer is mainly the tool used to pull the canvas over the bars. It should not inhibit creativity but facilitate it. I believe that as educators, our students are our customers, our greatest asset and I am dedicated to serving their needs. My goal is to help them succeed, for if  they do, I have succeeded in doing my job and it brings me great satisfaction.

My Commitment

Our students are our greatest asset, and I am dedicated to serving their needs. My love of art and design married to my fascination with technology, my varied life experiences and my desire to continually grow and advance in knowledge, skills and abilities have afforded me the opportunity to develop the expertise needed to succeed in a fast paced, highly competitive industry where design and technology are continuously evolving and where competion is fierce.
I pride myself on understanding the problems and opportunities in the fashion and textile industry. My consulting practice keeps me in touch with the "real world" and I am committed to sharing in these experiences with my students as I strive for excellence in teaching.

I have been a pioneer in design technology and will continue to embrace new challenges on a daily basis. I welcome these challenges with open arms and an open mind as I further brave new trails and explore the endless possibilities of technology applications in the creative world. I am highly committed to sharing these experiences with my students and my peers.
